Argentina reach World Cup final with Croatia victory
Messi scores and assists as Argentina cruise into final
Lionel Messi starred as Argentina beat Croatia 3-0 to reach the World Cup final.
The forward scored a penalty and set up Julian Alvarez for the other two goals as Argentina booked their place in Sunday's showpiece against either France or Morocco.
Messi opened the scoring from the spot after Alvarez was fouled by Dominik Livakovic.
Alvarez doubled the lead just minutes later, finishing off a fine team move involving Messi and Enzo Fernandez.
Messi then turned provider for Alvarez to score his second and wrap up the victory.
Argentina will now face France or Morocco in the final, while Croatia will play in the third-place play-off.
